Greek Fir Honey - Sparta, Mt. Taygetos (16 oz) - LIMIT ONE PER CUSTOMER

Klio

$21.95

Towering above the ancient city of Sparta, Mt. Taygetus is the highest peak on the Peloponnesus and the source of our superlative Greek Fir honey. Famous for wild herbs, the mountain is also densely forested with the native Greek Fir tree. It is one of few places in the world where bees produce honey from Fir trees. A true delicacy, it has a beautiful amber color, resinous with complex flavors of candied pistachio, sassafras and roasted chestnuts.

Klio Greek honey is designated single-origin. We source from specific locations with unique terroirs which result in highly sought-after, exceptional types of honey prized among the Greeks. Collected and packaged for us on-site by local beekeepers, our limited-supply honey is pure and unprocessed: raw and unpasteurized, never heated, minimally handled.

Wonderful Honey

It’s a darker honey and delicious whether in tea or on a cracker. It has a great flavor.

Memories of Greece

We recently returned from Greece where we consumed these products and brought some back here to the States. It was nice finding a site where we could purchase more. Good product, simple ordering process, quick delivery. We'll be back

a dark, delicious honey!

Had just finished reading your fabulous book, The Glorious Foods of Greece, and was especially fascinated by the culinary riches of the Peloponnisos. Being able to order--and enjoy--this wonderful honey was a special treat
