Ermionis Honey Vinegar is an innovative creation of Kosmas Bairaktaris, a fourth-generation apiarist in Kranidi, Greece, a beautiful area near the Argolic Gulf in the Peloponnese. It is made exclusively from Greek wild herb honey, through a traditional fermentation process. It is not a flavored vinegar, it is actually fermented from honey.
It has an exquisite honey flavor and aroma and contains no preservatives, artificial colorants, or other additives. Kosmas ages it in oak barrels in a beautiful underground cellar beneath the Bairaktaris Apiary, which has been in operation since 1914. It is a must-try!
How to Enjoy
This unique vinegar made from fermented honey makes a great salad dressing combined with some Greek extra virgin olive oil. I also love to sprinkle it over roasted vegetables or as a dip for fresh bread with a little olive oil and Greek oregano.
