Melekouni is a traditional, soft candy made from sesame seeds, almonds, and honey that hails from the Greek island of Rhodes. Since ancient times, women of Rhodes would gather together to prepare the melekouni in a communal, celebratory atmosphere before weddings, baptisms, and other celebrations. 

Filema Rodion produces this melekouni in the same traditional way—handmade and with simple, natural ingredients of sesame, almonds, cinnamon and exclusively local honey. It's a unique, regional specialty and a nutritious snack since sesame seeds and almonds are full of healthy fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
