Pamako is the brainchild of Eftihis Anroulakis, a passionate Cretan who combines cutting edge technology with his family's multi-generation methods of sustainable organic cultivation. His ultra-premium mono-varietal mountain-grown olive oil belong to a select group of olive oils that are able to make an EU health claim for its high content of certain polyphenols and beneficial compounds.
The Pamako olive groves are located near the ancient city of Elyros, in the rocky mountainous area of Selino, in the Chania region of Crete at altitudes of 1,500-2,000 feet. The olive trees are a wild variety called Tsounati, that dates back to Minoan times. Difficult to reach, these taller than typical olive trees, which grow wild around the rocks, are genetically suited to this altitude, microclimate, and soil structure.
The Pamako EVOO has a fresh & fruity aroma with strong spicy elements and soft bitter taste. Use it as a condiment or finishing oil. It also makes a lovely, unique, and healthy gift!
