Greeks have an ancient history of harvesting wild edibles, and they have long considered mushrooms to be one of nature’s most valuable and delicious wild foods. Low in calories and high in nutrition, mushrooms are rich in vitamins B, C, and D, as well as iron, zinc, potassium, niacin, and more. 

This collection of wild-harvested and sun-dried mushrooms are handpicked from the Greek woodlands. Porcini, black trumpets, chanterelles, and fairy ring mushrooms are combined with cultivated grey & golden oyster, shiitake and white button mushrooms. The sun-drying process enriches the mushrooms with vitamin D and significantly improves their texture and flavor intensity.

This delicious and earthy mushroom blend makes an excellent side dish combined with garlic and olive oil. It can also enhance a simple dish of pasta, trachanas, or soup. Before cooking, soak the mushrooms in water to rehydrate them.

Mushrooms are a versatile and nutritious ingredient in Greek cooking. In the country kitchen, mushrooms are typically either grilled or fried in olive oil, or sautéed into omelets. This wild-harvested blend has enough complexity to stand alone, sauteed or stewed, but you can also try adding it to omelets, pasta or trachanas for an easy, vegetarian main course. It's also delicious added to a sauce for braised meats. Be sure to soak the mushrooms in water prior to cooking to ensure that they are fully rehydrated.

Hoping to use soon

I have not used the mushrooms yet but looking forward to making the mushroom soup for a holiday dinner. Hope we get to have it or I may need to wait longer due to Covid.

Everything was good purchases reasonable priced little trouble with the web site all the salts were out of stock I wish they would restock or take them off the website I will definitely use them again

These are incredible in Ina Garten’s Wild Mushroom Risotto! Not exactly Greek, but Italian/Mediterranean and one of the finest dishes I have made!
