Orange Spoon Sweet from Pyrgo & Epidavros (13.4 oz)
How to Enjoy
Traditionally in Greece, spoon sweets were served by the spoonful in a small dish with a side of coffee or tea and cold water—hence the name "spoon sweet". Beyond tradition, spoon sweets are a tremendously versatile confection. They make wonderful toppings for Greek yogurt, ice cream, or baked goods like cakes or cheesecake. As a breakfast treat, mix in with hot cereals like oatmeal, spread over toast, or use as topping on pancakes, waffles and French toast. The intense, complex flavors are also a perfect pairing with your favorite cheese.
I haven’t used it yet
I highly recommend this product. The favor was intense, pure, and refreshing. I spooned this over goat yogurt for a delicious mid afternoon treat. First time ordering from Diane…everything arrived well…everything high quality…will definitely order again. Bless everything who works at this site. Debra
Gift for my husband who loves anything orange! He said is very good but a little too sweet but said he loves the large pieces of orange in it and enjoyed it on a slice of homemade whole grain bread for breakfast! (I caught him going back for seconds!)
This orange spoon sweet was very good. It was not as good as the mandarin orange spoon sweet I bought in Nestani Greece that had small whole mandarin oranges in the jar. I am using the spoon sweet over yogurt, though I know Greeks sometimes stir them into cold water to make an orangeade....if it's cherries, cherryade. But nice to have access to nice spoon sweets. A nice change of pace for me to flavor my Greek yogurt with.
Excellent flavor and nice and chunky
