Greek mountain tea is a single varietal herbal infusion made from the flowers, leaves and stems of the herb Sideritis, which is native to Greece. It only grows in the mountains at very high elevations. This offering of Greek mountain tea comes from Mount Othrys in the Magnesia region of Central Greece. It is a species called Sideritis raeseri. Brewing:
Place a small handful (3g) in a pot with about 12oz (1 1/2 cups) of water. Bring to a boil for 3-5 minutes, then let it steep for another 3-5 minutes. Remove herbs or strain, and enjoy.
