Pamako - High Polyphenol Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Crete, 500ml
"Best By" Sale!
Our Pamako Extra Virgin Olive Oil has a “best by” date of 6/25/22. It is perfectly fine, but we are offering this oil for 50% off. A “best by” date indicates when a product will be of best flavor or quality. It is not a purchase or safety date and is assigned somewhat arbitrarily by the food regulators based on general categories.
Pamako is the brainchild of Eftihis Anroulakis, a passionate Cretan who combines cutting edge technology with his family's multi-generation methods of sustainable organic cultivation. His ultra-premium mono-varietal mountain-grown olive oil is one of the few olive oils in the world with an EU health claim for its high content of polyphenols and beneficial compounds.
The Pamako olive groves are located near the ancient city of Elyros, in the rocky mountainous area of Selino, in the Chania region of Crete at altitudes of 1,500-2,000 feet. The olive trees are a wild variety called Tsounati, that dates back to Minoan times. Difficult to reach, these taller than typical olive trees, which grow wild around the rocks, are genetically suited to this altitude, microclimate, and soil structure.
The Pamako EVOO has a fresh & fruity aroma with strong spicy elements and soft bitter taste. Use it as a condiment or finishing oil. It also makes a lovely, unique, and healthy gift!
