Wild Greek Savory hand collected on Mt. Taygetos (25.5 g)

The Spartan Table

While a member of the mint family, savory has a flavor more like that of thyme and sage. This wild Greek savory, collected at 2900 - 3900 on Mt. Taygetus, is quite potent, so a little goes a long way, and it pairs well with all types of meat and poultry.

The Spartan Table sustainably sources wild herbs of the highest quality from the sun drenched mountains of Lakonia, overlooking the ancient city of Sparta, where they have grown for thousands of years. Proprietors Georgos & Jehny seek to share their way of life and the unique bounty of Sparta with those who seek authentic, natural ways to enhance their diet and health.

Wasn't what I thought I was ordering

The item is good, but I thought I was ordering the Mt. Taygetos mint. The product was listed under "mint" and I must not have looked closely enough at the listing before ordering. The mint has been hard to completely and I was so happy to see the listing I ordered right away only to find on receipt that it was the Taygetos savory -- not the mint. Though it has some mint in it apparently, it's not apparent in the taste (blend of spices). Might I suggest you list it separately from the mint heading? The savory is also good for some other purposes than I was intending.

Great flavor

Great in recipes. Good strong flavor. My favorite is the oregano, but this is good as well
