Hilopites are a traditional, Greek egg noodle or pasta. They are sometimes served as thin strips similar to fettucine or as they are here, as little squares. Hilopites is a classic, Greek comfort food. For a simple and delicious preparation, they can be boiled and then served with a drizzling of extra virgin Greek olive oil and your favorite grated cheese. Hilopites also make a great accompaniment to braises and stews or even seafood.

Been asked for a review, which I will eventually do. For now, I just have this. Packaging was done well & ‘eco’ friendly. All 3 bags arrived in great condition. However, I’ve not yet had a chance to cook any of them, so a true review won’t help. Gratefully, the packs are printed in English, rather than Greek. However, one suggestion would be to add info per "cooking time” and for one item , suggestions on how to use in recipes. (web site stated it was often used in soups, stews and so on - but no info included on when to add or whether to add in ‘raw’ or cooked state. Looking forward to new textures & tastes , all the same.
