Santorini Wild Caper Leaves (5.3 oz)
Caper leaves can be used much the same way you would the capers themselves, as an attractive and interesting addition to a multitude of salads, chopped into tomato sauces and mixed into braised bean dishes, soups and stews. They are wonderful with fish and seafood, but also with chicken, pork and lamb, their delicate acidity a nice foil to the richness of meats. Try the leaves as the foundation for a Greek island pesto, with a handful of Aegina pistachios, one of our olive oils, lemon zest and fresh or dried herbs. Or, make your own Greek mezze mix with capers, caper leaves, olives and herbs.
haven't tried yet, but looking forward
Delicious addition to Dakos salads, both for flavor and garnish. Thank you for making this hard-to-find item available!
I put them in eggs, in any sandwich or just out of the jar. Excellent plus I feel better since they are in my diet.
Bought the spice box and a few others for sis and she went wild. Fast service, all very nice. Only problem...I was there to eat the goodies! Next time include airfare!
This is my second time ordering caper leaves from Diane Kochilas. This time they are stocking stuffers for my three daughters. I know they will love them as much as I do, and perhaps will start a new family tradition!
