Rusks made with Ancient Wheat - Sfakia, Crete (8.8 oz)
Rusks have a crunchy texture similar to croutons. If you'd like to soften them a bit you can run them briefly under water. They are a delicious and long-lasting pantry staple that can be used in so many different ways. You can serve them with some of our delicious dips, cheese, and olives as a mezze, dip them in soups, or add as a crunchy topping to salads and pasta.
I ate these straight with yogurt. But I can easily top them with a spread of eggplant or tomato, cheese, or cream cheese and smoked salmon. Mostly I like them just plain.
Delicious! Only downfall was that I ate the whole bag within a few days! Love them! Thank you
I ordered several items from this site that are not yet opened... Christmas gifts for friends. But, the Rusks were absolutely delicious and just crisp enough without being tooth breakers. They are very wheaty and have excellent flavor. So glad I ordered them and will be ordering more!
they are very versatile. i eat then plain or dip into hummus or like a cracker with cheese or Spanish ham and a little olive oil.
I love this paximadi. The only one better was a bakery in Heraklion, I forgot the name.
